Vintage Silver 1921 New Rochelle Rowing Club Medal Pendant

From our estate and antique collection, this is a vintage NRRC (New Rochelle Rowing Club) medal fob pendant in sterling silver. Founded in 1880, on Long Island Sound, the NRRC is one of the oldest and most historic athletic organizations in the United States. The front features the bold letters "NRRC" filled with cloisonné enamel. Next to the letters is a raised relief of a classic 1920s New York oarsman holding a long wooden sweep oar on a dock, with a crew competing out on the water. The back of the medal is hand-engraved with "2 MAN SKIFF RACE 1921" and stamped with a maker's mark, The Robbins Company of Attleboro, Massachusetts.
